Retribution is a great, action-packed novel. Reading it felt like you were in a Jerry Bruckheimer movie. Although the storyline focused on the twists and turns that arose as Ryan Mullins, the lead character, unraveled a dangerous attack against America, the novel was also full of emotional depth. The relationships that were formed, lost, and changed along the way brought the story to life. The action sequences were stellar, and the pace of the novel kept me reading later than I intended! I can't wait for the next book in the series!
As one who enjoys political thrillers, I give this novel a 5-star rating. The realistic events depicted by the author create an all to plausible plotline as it documents locations with amazing details creating a visual picture for the reader. You are drawn into the story.
The story is very descriptive, and you can see the scenes, the characters, and the action unfold on every page. Couldn’t put the book down. Looking forward to reading book two!

Couldn't put the book down, excellent pacing. Lots of interesting tech research, which I love. The main character, Mullins, is very likable. Great action and lots of slimy heavies. I read and enjoyed all of the Jack Reacher novels. This is as good.
If you like fast paced political thrillers, you'll enjoy this book.
Exciting read! The author either has experience in the military or contract work, or has done impeccable research. The novel reads like a Tom Clancy or Jack Reacher novel. Great job Mr. Michaels.
The characters are well constructed as is the storyline. It was a riveting read and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Well done Ross.
